Three great news in Creo 8.0

Anyone interested in 3D °®¶¹´«Ã½app and specifically product design should look no further than PTC’s Creo. In the words of Al Dean of Develop3D (relating to the new release of Creo 8) ‘This, if I’m honest, is one of the most impressive releases of a 3D design and engineering system that I’ve seen in a good few years.
Creo offers strategic parametric design advantages: a suite of product design tools with a broad range of capabilities ranging from simulation to computer-aided manufacturing creating a brilliant product experience.

Just as important, your Creo package is fully customizable. Mix and match to meet your own changing needs or to support your expanding organization. Creo Parametric design is constantly evolving whether you’re a novice or a seasoned professional regardless of product experience. I’ve picked out 3 of the Creo benefits our customers are enjoying in the latest Creo release – Creo 8.

Creo Simulation

Within the Creo environment, your product design can be analyzed as your product is taking shape utilizing Creo Simulation Live or at various points during the design process as your assembly develops. Utilizing Creo Simulation Tools you can quickly and easily perform FEA, CFD, Dynamics, and all major CAE functions to have a product design you can trust.

Creo Generative Topology Optimization (GTO)

Generative design autonomously creates a product design from a set of system design requirements you specify. The result? A manufacture-ready design that you can use as the final design or choose to adopt. GTO works within the Creo design environment to turn your ideas into reality easily, define your geometry, functional objectives, physics, materials and manufacturing processes. Your optimized designs are quickly generated to meet your requirements and converted into rich B-rep geometry so you can enjoy an uninterrupted parametric workflow.

Multi-Body Design in Creo

The introduction of multibody modelling to Creo Parametric simplifies part design and top-down design to enable a more efficient product design experience. Multi-body Design in Creo can be used by anyone wanting to simplify the product design process specifically within Creo when you want to design:

  • Interdependencies between parts in assemblies with a low number of components without having to use skeletons and Data sharing features.
  • A solid part and split into multiple parts.
  • A part with multiple materials.

Multi-body is used extensively in Creo within Creo Topology Optimization, Generative Design and Additive manufacturing.
These are just 3 areas where you can see the tangible benefits of Creo and where you can see first-hand where Creo Parametric technology is helping to create a more efficient and robust product design experience.
